Recently, I was looking for information about the film La La Land, and in the search engine, I came across a 2011 movie called Going Down in La-La Land with an incidental plot. I gave this film a chance, and I didn’t regret it! Within a couple of hours, I went through a rollercoaster of emotions—laughing, feeling sad, and even shedding a few tears.

The story told in this film is a look at what an actor does and will do, striving for fame and recognition in Hollywood!
Young, muscular, and handsome Adam has just moved from New York to Los Angeles with a dream of becoming a star. Between his auditions, he spends time in the gym, shopping, and talking with his passionate and crazy girlfriend, Candy. Adam is gay, and he wants to become an actor, but the film industry can only offer him roles in gay videos.
The entire cast was new to me, but they played well. The main hero, Matthew Ludwinski, had such naive emotion on his face, and it touched my heart.

Is Going Down in La La Land worth watching?
From the first minutes, you will be captured by the whirlpool of developing events. And you involuntarily begin to empathize, and this, although detached, is an acceptance of the situation.
Despite the unprincipled cynical truth about what the stairs are paved with, the film looks very easy and, in many ways, resembles the plot of ‘Cinderella.’ But this is rather a typical situation in which both girls and boys find themselves who, with naivety, want to get on the screen.
The procedure for seducing a young man on the way to the adult video industry is described in quite detail and plausibly. A handsome young guy faces the problem of finding a job. His money is running out catastrophically quickly, and then he gets an offer… His moral principles do not allow it, and there is no internal need. But a handsome partner is skillfully involved in the matter with whom you want to do this, even if not for the money.
For those who are thinking about starring in an erotic video, the film is a good story about what you will have to battle, showing the world more than just your face. However, if you evaluate the story from beginning to end, the message to all the pretty young men is to go into the adult industry to find happiness, material wealth, and romantic relationships, well, getting a little dirty.
By the way, there is no particular vulgarity here. Although selling yourself is touched upon, it is shown lightly. The film doesn’t overcomplicate things; the heroes are also pretty basic. You can easily tell who the bad and good guys are.

Final words.
So, I believe that Going Down in La-La Land is worth watching. Love, drugs, betrayal, heartbreak, and, of course, a handsome actor in the lead role and a traditional rom-com happy ending give the film a good mix of spices so as not to be boring. I assure you that you will definitely be happy for the heroes in the finale!

I don’t watch gay movies, however, I feel like there are a lot of Lessons to learn while watching movies like this. This is going on my must-watch list.
